Cambridge University Botanic Garden is a botanic garden located in Cambridge, England. It lies between Trumpington Road to the west, Bateman Street to the north and Hills Road to the east. The garden covers an area of 16 hectares. Cambridge University Botanic Garden (CUBG) holds a collection of over 8,000 plant species from all over the world to facilitate teaching and research. The Garden is open to visitors every day throughout the year except for Christmas closure – See website for more details. Please note that only trained assistance dogs are permitted to visit the Garden. We are unable to admit entry to any other brought animal. The Enquiries Desk is open between 9am - 1pm, then 2pm - 4.30pm Monday - Friday.

Hello Voilet We welcome picnics and there are spaces to do so and benches throughout the Garden, including several areas with picnic tables. As regards large picnic gatherings, it slightly depends how large! If you are planning on being a group of 10+, please book a group visit with us via our website, so we know you are coming (even if arriving separately) and can explain fully how we host larger groups, to see if this suits what you want for your gathering.
