Despite the sold-out crowd on Mother's Day, things never felt TOO crowded. The fountain shows were beautiful, as were the various themed displays. I'd love to come here every season.Full review by RutherfordB

Ticks! We’ve been going to Longwood for years and we will go again… I hope! But, today, we came home loaded with ticks. The one thing we did differently today that we usually never do is take a walk …Full review by Larry H

This is a beautiful property with manicured grounds. The Tulips were in full bloom when we visited in late April. Very nice walking trails made for a pleasant visit.Full review by line10

When to expect these plants to bloom in S.E. Pennsylvania Peony flowering occurs for seven to eight weeks, from the end of April until early June (hardiness zones 6 to 7). Flowers typically bloom in this order: woodland peonies, followed by tree peonies and then herbaceous species and ending with intersectional hybrids Many species and cultivars of hydrangea flower in Pennsylvania, mid July through August, with bursts of white flower color that slowly change to shades of pinks and reds.
We’re visiting in early December and need to know if we will be indoors or outdoors most of the time. Trying to plan what to wear.

There's plenty to see at Longwood Gardens inside and outside. Plan on wearing layers so you can peel off while indoors. You're in for a real treat... enjoy!!
I am planning to see A Longwood Christmas with my future fiancé. Actually, I am planning to propose at this beautiful venue! I see that it says lights come on at 12 pm and every 15 minutes after that but don’t understand what this means. Please help! I am coming from 2 hours away and want to make this visit as memorable as possible and that includes seeing the exhibits during the day but also want to experience all the beautiful lights.

The evening is when the lights of the gardens come on. They have spectacular decorations both outdoor and inside the atrium. There are several structures with a few levels which are decorated as well. It will be difficult to choose just one...Enjoy!
