Q:
Are water shoes recommended for the swimming hole?
A:
We didn't wear shoes, however the bottom has some small rocks, no biggie.
Q:
Are dogs on a leash allowed for hiking?
A:
THe outside section I'm sure would allow dogs, the great adventure is walking through the caves that a dog could not manage.

Sorry, no lockers at Blur Hole, but you could easily bring your back "hole-side" without much trouble. The water is about 70 or so concrete steps down from the level you enter to pay. The blue hole itself is very intimate. You should be able to keep track of your things. Also, note that inland Blue Hole will be a diversion by about 18 miles one-way. Not sure how you are getting to San Ignacio...if you are driving, fine. Taking a bus and you'll have to know bus times. Let me know if you need more details. One more note: time of travel is important. This time of year can be iffy depending on rain. Keep an eye on precipitation here and if we have gotten significant rainfall, it may or. At not be open or, if open, may be cloudy. Temps can make a difference too. The Blue Hole water can be cool even when it is hot (March-September) but downright cool this time of year.
