Two Belmont Abbey College students will serve probation for assault. In October, men’s basketball team members attended a Halloween party on campus. Officers later charged nine players with assaulting a female at that party. Charges against five players were later dropped.

The incident involving members of the school’s basketball team followed a Halloween party on campus at the college in Gaston County, WSOC-TV reported.

Two Belmont Abbey College students were convicted after a two-day bench trial in relation to an assault that occurred on Halloween night. Three students were on trial in front of District Court Judge Michael K.

The Drake University Bulldogs beat the Bradley University Braves and clinched a spot in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. The Bulldogs won their third straight Missouri Valley Conference Tournament by a score of 63-48 over the Braves giving Drake the conference’s automatic bid for the March Madness tournament.
