Fire and EMS crews were staging along Chester Pike near Philz Landscaping, Hardscaping and Fencing. They had to cut through fencing to get to the train. Radio traffic said it is SEPTA train en route to Newark, Del. About 15 minutes into the incident, crews were told that a nearby line was still active and power was not out.

Crews have responded shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday to the railroad lines near the Crum Lynne station for a train on fire. Within a few minutes, personnel were asking for the power to be turned off on the line. They were also attempting to evacuate the train, according to fire radio traffic.
