The Bay State’s ongoing fight against the second Trump Administration went another round on Thursday, when the U.S. District Judge overseeing a lawsuit filed by the Attorneys General of several states ordered a halt to the president’s widespread plan to freeze federal funding.

US District Judge Amir Ali ruled in favour of nonprofit groups and businesses that sued over the funding freeze, which has forced organisations around the world to slash services and lay off thousands of workers.

A second federal judge extended a block barring the Trump administration from freezing grants and loans potentially totaling trillions.
