A federal judge has extended an injunction on the Trump Administration's attempt to halt Harvard's student visa program.
Later that day, a federal judge in Boston issued an emergency order, temporarily blocking the Department of Homeland Security from removing Harvard from the Student and Exchange Visitor Program, which allows universities to enroll student visa holders.

On the same day the Trump administration asked federal agencies to cut contracts with Harvard University, dozens of students gathered for a rally in support of their international classmates.

The Trump administration is trying to block Harvard from enrolling international students. A Harvard official said the move is already creating major disruptions.
The attacks are "particularly damaging for Massachusetts," the lawmakers wrote in a letter to senior Trump administration officials.
Harvard has requested a preliminary injunction that would prohibit the Department of Homeland Security from revoking the school’s ability to enroll international students under the visa programs.
