The Houston Texans waived Diontae Johnson Tuesday after the beleaguered receiver — who was released by the Ravens earlier this season after refusing to enter a game — played just two games for them. Johnson had one reception for 12 yards in Houston's wild-card playoff win over the Chargers on Saturday.

The Houston Texans are heading to Kansas City to face the Chiefs in the AFC Divisional Round, and they’ll do so without Diontae Johnson after waiving the former Ravens wide receiver. The #Texans have waived WR Diontae Johnson.

Diontae Johnson told local reporters in December the issues that plagued his short stint in Baltimore would be left in the past and his new chapter in Houston would be a fresh start. That didn’t last long.

Johnson played one regular season game for the Texans in which he caught two passes for 12 yards total. He also had one catch for 12 yards in Houston’s 32-12 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday.

Johnson was reportedly upset in the locker room following the Texans' 32-12 wild-card victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Jan. 11, with running back Joe Mixon and linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair trying to calm him. In the wild-card game, Johnson had one reception for 12 yards. He only played 15 of the possible 70 offensive snaps for the Texans.
