Indianapolis police arrest Anthony Ford for triple shooting at canal. Ford charged with five felonies and found with drugs during arrest.

Indianapolis police heard gunfire at Carriage House East Apartments just before 9 a.m., an official said. When officers arrived at the scene, they found multiple people shot. Kenneth Lyles, 31, and John Talley Jr., 27, died from their injuries. A third person was injured.

IMPD says criminal homicides are down almost 30% and nonfatal shootings are down almost 15% compared to this time last year, but councilors have questions.
