In a battle of former light heavyweight champions, the Czech finishes his opponent in the third round in hopes of a rematch with champ Alex Pereira

The former UFC light heavyweight champion brutally knocked out Jamahal Hill with a third-round barrage Saturday at UFC 311 inside the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The knockout puts him back on the winning track following a second loss to UFC light heavyweight titleholder Alex Pereira in June 2024.

In a showdown between former champions filled with chaotic exchanges and the constant threat of a knockout, Jiri Prochazka proved on Saturday at UFC 311 that he's still the best 205-pound fighter not named Alex Pereira.

A few of years ago, Jiri Prochazka became the light heavyweight champion and he was the face of the division. However, an injury forced him to vacate the light heavyweight title and that’s when Jamahal Hill stepped in to win the title in January 2023.
