UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer vowed on Tuesday to "leave no stone unturned" to uncover failings in preventing the killings of three girls at a Taylor Swift-themed event, saying an inquiry could lead to a change in terrorism laws.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the government must also answer “tough questions” about how authorities failed to stop a violence-obsessed teenager before he stabbed three young girls to death in the seaside town of Southport in July.

But if that is indeed the case, and the Government was so concerned with not prejudicing ongoing cases, why did they take the opposite approach with the hundreds of people who were arrested in the wake of the Southport riots?
