US Treasury says it removed 518 Syrian individuals and entities from its list of sanctions after president’s decree.

President Donald Trump on Monday formally dismantled US sanctions against Syria, paving the way for the re-integration of the country into the global economy.

The Trump administration is moving forward with support for the new Syrian government. A significant part of that initiative involves sanctions relief and giving Syria the chance to be invested in and rebuild after 14 years of civil war.
