LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) - A small aircraft has crashed on County Road 1A in Lawrence County, Ohio. Multiple crews are on scene, according to Lawrence County Dispatch. WSAZ has a crew on the way to the scene.

The picture appears to show a small plane sitting on its nose on the runway.

Investigators said a single-engine aircraft overshot the runway at Daniel Field and collided with a fence shared by the airfield and The Patch.

When crews arrived on the scene, fire officials said two people were found dead.

Police confirmed that a plane crashed in Ardmore Friday afternoon. The crash happened near the Ardmore Downtown Executive Airport. No word yet on any injuries, or what led to the crash. The FAA is investigating the crash.
