A University of Alaska Fairbanks professor is asking the public to assist her in collecting wild blueberries for research, at a rate of $50 per gallon.

My favorite berries are blueberries (wild Alaska ones, of course) and raspberries, but I also have a special place in my heart for currants. Like many Americans, currants aren’t a mainstay.
