The Air Force Academy’s Cadet Chapel will stay open through Sept. 1 as the school seeks $68 million to renovate the classic example of modernist architecture.
"We know that several cadet classes haven't, and won't get to, enjoy the chapel," said Col Julian Gaither, the Academy's senior chaplain. "But in times of tragedy, it also becomes a beacon of hope.
