French supermarket Carrefour has announced it's removed dog meat products from two of its outlets in China. The news comes amid ongoing backlash against the consumption of dog meat in the country.
Carrefour also operates the Champion supermarkets and Dia convenience stores. Its 2005 turnover was about $2 billion (including value-added tax), making China Carrefour's fifth-largest market.
