Ascena Retail Group, the parent company of plus-size chains Lane Bryant and Catherines, shut down nearly 160 Lane Bryant stores and all 320 of its Catherines stores.

After closing four Orange County locations last year, the parent company of three retail chains selling plus-size clothing to women said it will shut down two more O.C. stores by the end of January.

FullBeauty Brands Operations, an online company that caters to plus size women’s clothing, had the top bid at the auction for the assets of Catherines, a plus size brand for $40.8 million.
