The Portland Inn Project - a Hanley community group - hit out at the felling of the 'urban woodland' in March 2021. It is now in favour of the housing development as long as the 410 trees are planted.

This shows how alive the festive joy is in Tunstall. Hanley was decorated with two trees and Christmas decorations hanging between buildings which really added to the Christmas feeling.
