The Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced it is closing Holy Spirit Church in Sharon Hill as a worship site, effective Nov. 15. The church is located at Sharon Avenue and School Street.

As sacristan of Holy Spirit Church in Sharon Hill for nearly four years, it was Layden’s job to make sure that everything was in its place, that the lights were out and the doors were secure.
