The Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce will kick off the 2016 opening of the Elroy-Sparta Bike Trail Sunday, May 1 with a bike trip from Norwalk to Sparta.

The Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce held their annual Rails to Trails Celebration, along with the first ever Bike Expo. The yearly event celebrates the opening of the three tunnels along the trail.

SPARTA — The first cyclists of the bike trail season rolled through Sparta on Wednesday afternoon to celebrate the opening day of the Elroy-Sparta trail.
