The Golden State Warriors welcomed the Charlotte Hornets to Chase Center Tuesday night, a contest that was already expected to be one-sided before Hornets guard LaMelo Ball was ruled out earlier in the day.

The Warriors opted to break up the famous duo of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson and traded Thompson to the Dallas Mavericks in July. That decision hasn't led to success, as Golden State is 28-27 and the No. 10 seed in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, Curry's shooting numbers are down, and Jimmy Butler is still adjusting.

Stephen Curry scored 30 points, and the Golden State Warriors beat the Dallas Mavericks 126-102. The Warriors have won five of six and improved to 5-1 since trading for Jimmy Butler, who made his home debut and finished with 8 points.

Steph Curry had 15 points, five rebounds, six assists and one steal while shooting 6/13 from the field and 2/8 from the three-point range in his first 23 minutes of playing time. The two-time MVP also made NBA history.
