It’s tough to find a professional athlete that had a better 2024 than USA Olympic gymnast Simone Biles. The 28-year-old bounced back from a forgettable performance at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, in which she took silver in the team event and bronze in the balance beam before withdrawing from the vault

Biles turned 28 in March. She won gold in the all-around, vault and team competitions while taking silver in floor exercise in the 2024 Paris Olympics, which she told L’Equipe had taken a toll on her body. “I went back to the village, I took the elevator and my body literally collapsed. I was sick for 10 days,” Biles said, per the AP.

The U.S. superstar won her fifth, sixth and seventh golds in Paris but is yet to decide whether she will defend her titles in 2028.
