PHILADELPHIA — Saquon Barkley didn’t set Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record, but he did take down another team record and Dickerson’s former team Sunday in a driving snow storm at Lincoln Financial Field.

Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson raised eyebrows and attracted some criticism when he admitted in December he didn't want Saquon Barkley of the Philadelphia Eagles to break the single-season record of 2,105 rushing yards that Dickerson set in 1984.

In his first season with the Philadelphia Eagles, running back Saquon Barkley was eyeing Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record for the majority of the season. However, with only 2,005 yards on the season, Barkley fell 101 yards shy of the record.
