Constellation Brands has taken another big step in streamlining its wine stable to focus on luxury brands, selling a 12-million-case portfolio of mostly value-priced brands to The Wine Group for an undisclosed sum.

Alcohol heavyweight Constellation Brands will undergo a review of its organizational structuring that is expected to save the company more than $200 million by 2028.

Sale of brands like Woodbridge and Meiomi to The Wine Group demonstrates Constellation’s efforts to become more premium-oriented in its portfolio, the company said.
