Pima County officials have announced the closure of its two migrant shelters following sweeping changes to federal border enforcement policies implemented by the Trump Administration.
While none of President Donald Trump’s first-day executive orders imposed tariffs, he confirmed he’s considering them on Canada and Mexico starting on February 1.
The recent orders to send 1,500 active duty service members to the southern border is to help current enforcement operations. Cochise County has yet to see any military members at the border.
