LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers lost Game 1 of their NBA playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Making matters worse, they were blown out 117-95. With that said, hopes are high that the Lakers can bounce back in Game 2 and tie the series before it shifts to Minnesota.

Now though, the focus shifts towards the postseason as the Lakers look to make a run behind their big three of James, Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves. It seems that James’ motivation comes from the pursuit of his fifth championship, as he explained on the latest episode of the Mind the Game podcast with Steve Nash:

It's a group of players that long for the postseason until it finally arrives. LeBron James is the leader of that group. He has been playing in the NBA for over 20 years and is only focused on winning championships at this point in his career.
