President Donald Trump was evacuated from a gala dinner with news media on Saturday as a shooting at the venue sent Cabinet members ducking under tables and turned the Washington Hilton into a massive crime scene.

President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump were evacuated out of the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner minutes after loud bangs were heard.

Guests said there were several loud noises heard inside the ballroom and many individuals were seen ducking under tables.

The evacuation occurred just after 8:30 p.m. ET after the sound of gunfire sent attendees scurrying and ducking under tables. Mr. Trump and first lady Melania Trump were whisked off the stage by Secret Service agents.
