According to a report, the Dallas Cowboys are getting close to hiring Brian Schottenheimer as their next head coach.

The Dallas Cowboys are interested in bringing in offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to interview for the team’s vacant head coaching position, a person familiar with the situation informed The Dallas Morning News’ Calvin Watkins.

Schottenheimer has served as the Cowboys’ offensive coordinator the past two years. He joined the team in 2022 as a coaching analyst and earned a promotion to the OC job when the Cowboys and Kellen Moore parted ways.
