Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor is a bit more experienced now compared to the last time he had to hire a defensive coordinator. Taylor and the Bengals are currently going through potential candidates for the position Lou Anarumo was fired from last week after Taylor hired him nearly six years last ago.

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor let go of multiple coaches on Monday morning after the team missed the playoffs for a second consecutive year. The biggest move Taylor made was firing defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo who has been his role since 2019.

The Cincinnati Bengals seem like a team with eyes for Al Golden as the next defensive coordinator, at least once he wraps up his season with Notre Dame on Monday night in the title game. Golden, though, has previously shot down the idea of joining the Bengals due to his focus on Notre Dame’s College Football playoff push.
