Adrien Brody nabbed an Academy Award Sunday for his portrayal of an architect in “The Brutalist,” marking the second Oscar for the Jewish actor. Mikey Madison, who is Jewish, also won best actress for her role in “Anora,” which won best picture.

In a twist akin to some of Hollywood’s best stories, Sunday’s ceremony in Los Angeles saw 25-year-old Mikey Madison take home the trophy for Best Lead Actress, beating frontrunner Demi Moore, who shocked with her star turn in “The Substance,” a gory body horror hit directed by Coralie Fargeat.
