“The defendant’s repeated choice to threaten violence, to include threats of murder and rape, against persons in the public eye who he disagreed with, demonstrates a lack of self-control and respect,” prosecutors wrote in the government’s sentencing memorandum.
The brothers were arrested at their Miami Beach homes, charged with a slew of state and federal rape and sex-trafficking charges.
Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan had been banned from leaving Romania after being charged with rape and human trafficking charges, but the order has been lifted.
