Many of the Penguins think the spark Nedeljkovic provides on and off the ice might be just what they need to make a postseason push.

In Wednesday’s “On Sports,” struggling Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry gave his first interview since being sent down to the American Hockey League last week. Meanwhile, in his place, Alex Nedeljkovic has put together some nice starts back-to-back.

Tristan Jarry is in the minors, and the Pittsburgh Penguins told him to treat it not like a temporary stay but to approach it like he’s again in his early 20s and he has to undergo a full reset.

Nedeljkovic was the first goalie off at Monday's morning skate, Penguins play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff reports, indicating that he'll draw the road start against the Kings. Nedeljkovic is in the mix to serve as the Penguins' No.

Alex Nedeljkovic became the second goaltender in Pittsburgh Penguins history to score a goal during a 5-2 victory against the Buffalo Sabres, at KeyBank Center in Buffalo on Friday. His score came on an empty net at 17:18 of the third period.
