V ELOT — Fire crews are battling a 500-acre complex of lightning-caused fires in Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, which has prompted trail closures and warnings from the U.S. Forest Service.

The nine wildfires have burned an estimated 500 acres and are located approximately 21 miles east of Darrington.
