President Donald Trump made two statements about territories adjoining Israel: The first was that the United States would take over the Gaza Strip. The second was that, “over the next four weeks,” Trump would have an announcement about Israeli annexation of the West Bank.

Days after the Gaza ceasefire took hold, the Israeli military launched its largest offensive in years in the occupied West Bank, displacing tens of thousands.
