The Dallas Mavericks may soon see one of their top NBA stars back on the floor. Kyrie Irving, who has been out since New Year’s Day due to a lingering back injury, was upgraded to “questionable” for Tuesday’s matchup against the Denver Nuggets,

"Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon (calf strain) intends to make his return today against the Dallas Mavericks after missing the previous nine games," Haynes reported. With a starting lineup of Westbrook, Murray, Michael Porter Jr., Gordon and Jokic, the Nuggets will be getting a glimpse of who they could roll out come playoff time.

The Denver Nuggets head back to American Airlines Center to face the Dallas Mavericks in the second of a two game set. The Nuggets are 23-15, which puts them in fourth place in the Western Conference. The Mavs are 22-17, which puts them directly behind Denver in fifth place.

The Mavericks host the Nuggets at 9:00 p.m. ET, looking to bounce back after Sunday’s loss to Denver. Kyrie Irving (back) is questionable but could return.
