Islanders bring back Tony DeAngelo and Simon Holmstrom, add Jonathan Drouin, David Rittich
The Islanders are retaining defenseman Tony DeAngelo. The team announced it had re-signed the right-handed defenseman from Sewell, New Jersey, a pending unrestricted free agent, shortly before the free-agent market opened on Tuesday at noon.
The Islanders re-signed Tony DeAngelo to a one-year deal 90 minutes before the opening of free agency. Per Frank Seravalli, the deal is for $1.75 million.
Between their additions and subtractions, the Philadelphia Flyers have been well-represented in NHL free agency this year.
