We've all heard his measured tones and today the man behind the voice is revealed as Terry Green, 53, a father-of-one businessman (and queuing expert) from Stratford-upon-Avon.

Shoppers hear his recorded message saying: “Cashier number five, please.” Terry’s checkout queuing system is a world leader used by a quarter of the global population – 1.75 billion people.
