The Alphabet Song of our youth has been updated, and parents are having to learn a new rendition of the song to keep up with their children. Do you know your ABCs? You might not anymore.

The teacher took to TikTok to share the new alphabet song kids are learning today. Rachel is a first-grade teacher specializing in the science of reading (SOR) and social and emotional learning.

Every kid – and adult-- knows that in learning the alphabet song, you must conquer the lettered stumbling blocks of "LMNOP," or "Elemenopee," to those below age 5.

The newer, modified version of the ABC's song we all grew up singing may be hard for parents to grasp, but it's designed to help kids learn better.
