Russia pummelled Kyiv with drones in an all-night attack, injuring at least 23 people, damaging railway infrastructure and setting buildings and cars on fire throughout the city, authorities in the Ukrainian capital said early on Friday.

Russia launched 550 drones and missiles across Ukraine overnight in the largest aerial assaults since the war began.

Russia mounted an overnight drone assault on Kyiv, reportedly leaving 23 wounded and vital infrastructure severely damaged, as Ukraine's air defenses resisted intensely.
