The juvenile gray seal recently weaned off his mother's milk and ventured five miles into the coastal Connecticut city

In the segment, called the "All Seals Edition!," Colbert said "It seemed like a successful rescue mission" and played a clip of a sea lion clapping. Colbert then mentioned another February incident, where a seal in the Netherlands was found sleeping in a hotel guest room.

Authorities in New Haven, Connecticut were stunned when they came across a baby seal wandering on the streets over the weekend. Thankfully the animal didn’t seem to be injured, but officials were alarmed to see the seal so far away from the water.
