A little over five months after his death, and 35 years after he was banned from the game of baseball by then-commissioner A. Bartlett Giamatti, Pete Rose may be posthumously getting his flowers – from two different angles. It is unknow if the two are related. However, as some say, there are no coincidences.

Baseball legend Pete Rose pleaded guilty in 1990 to two counts of filing false tax returns and served a five-month prison sentence.

President Trump also repeated his call for Rose, who was banned from the sport for gambling, to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
