Today, the large corporate Theme parks have taken over the amusement park world...but at one time, Pennsylvania had the most amusement parks of any state in the US. And most of them were locally owned.

Carowinds is a “nice” theme park straddling the border of North and South Carolina. Fury325 and Afterburn provide a very good 1-2 punch, with the rest of the coasters being mediocre or average, at best.

As Erik Johnson stated, there were two ways to get from the park gate to the park: Train or Sky Ride.
