⭐ 🇦🇲 Aram Khachaturian ⭐ 🇦🇲 playing his own Sabre Dance on the piano. It’s always impressive to see a composer playing his music. The sabre dance is from his ballet Gayane (1942). The orchestral version of it is much more common but Oscar Levant’s piano arrangement featured in the movie The Barkleys of Broadway (1949) popularized the tune in the U.S. Apparently, Khachaturian had his own piano version but I’m not sure if a score of it exists. The original ballet deals with a Soviet story: a y
