On this day in 1939, Bismarck was launched. The German battleship was later sent on a top-secret mission to the Atlantic. Named after Otto von Bismarck, Germany’s first Chancellor, the Bismarck sank in May 1941 following a battle with the British Royal Navy. We wrote a song about this gigantic sea beast.
