At United ISD, we believe everyone deserves an education, including students like Ikem Ramirez. Tragedy struck the Ramirez family in 2014 when little Ikem suffered an accident that initially left him unable to walk or communicate. Ikem and his family embarked on a long journey, and United ISD has been on this road with them, providing teachers and therapy at home, and one-to-one instruction in the classroom. The El Paso ISD Community Schools program launched the El Paso High School Family Resource Center last fall at Wiggs Middle School. The center provides food, toiletries, clothing, and other necessities to families at no cost.
