Snake Eats Snake - PART III Monday, 31 May 2021 After nearly two hours of constricting and waiting... and waiting... the final act of swallowing the juvenile cottonmouth went surprisingly fast. So fast in fact that I was a bit disappointed after my long bug-bitten wait not to see very much of the cottonmouth's head. I had expected the rather bulky head of the cottonmouth to present more of an obstacle for the small-headed kingsnake, but once it gets started, it sucks down the cottonmouth quickly
